The Day I Use Only Bahasa Melayu!

Last week, after seeing a blogger who used Bahasa Melayu on their twitter for a day, inspired me to try to use Bahasa Melayu for a day. That would mean I must use Malay, and only Malay to post any status on my Facebook and Twitter. Maka pada hari tersebut saya bercicip dan mengulas dalam Bahasa Melayu. Yes, bercicip is tweeting in Malay, I think. OK some I made it up myself, based on suitability.

mukabuku

Because I did it on Sunday and it seems that everyone is quiet on that day, I tried it on the next day.

And I commented a post by my ex-colleague in Malay.

Later at half an hour before midnight, when I tried a Japanese food which was introduced by Nattelim (I will blog about this later), we exchanged comments in Malay till the midnight where we stop using Malay. I did say I’m going to do it till midnight on my twitter.

On the third day, I was thinking about doing this using Classic Malay. But when I read a friends comment in full Classic Malay I scrap the idea all together.

It’s a good thing that what I did inspired another friend of mine to post in Malay hahaha.

In all, I had so much fun. For your info, I’m the English to Malay translator for writing an engineering technical letter or report to Government Department for my office.

The Geek

A so called geek who resides at North Borneo, in a not so little city anymore, formerly known as Api-Api to the locals, Jesselton to the colonialist. This geek is a Civil Engineer by profession, who have lots of ideas popping up while traveling, who will write whatever popped up in his mind and hopping the reader would not be so judgmental toward his writings. This geek is also a computer & internet junkie who love outdoor, which is pretty much contradicting to each other doesn’t it? This geek is good at almost everything but a master of none (read about this somewhere). People may perceive him as a very quiet, describe as phlegmatic person, yet he is quite a chatterbox to those whom he is really close or comfortable with. This geek thinks anime chicks are way cooler than a real chick hence why he also likes to watch it (not the chicks, but the anime). Not to be mistaken as watching a cartoon, anime to this geek and to most of anime follower are animation that are created and produce by the Japanese.
