Bakso with a sprinkle of rain part deux

Its 5:30 pm and its time to go home. No, I didn’t stay late because of the traffic jam. I finished work at 5:30 pm We have change our working hour; majority of my colleague, myself included, hate going to work on Saturday, so the management have change our working hour. We start work at 8:15 am and finished at 5:30 pm. Shut down both desktop and laptop, drank the last of my Nescafe and just placed my mug in the pantry sink, pack my laptop, switch off all the aircond and lights, went straight to my car. “Its still early,” I thought to myself, “and I am a little bit hungry, but where to eat?”. I thought of Salim’s, Mamak food again? Kak Nong? I look out from my car looking at the long car queuing up at the U-turn junction, nah… Jammed over here, surely jammed at Luyang junction, and then have to go through Jalan Bundusan. I’ll pass. What about Taliban? I don’t want to go to Inanam. Bakso? Uuuhh… haven’t been eating Bakso at Segama for quite a while now. So I decided to go to Segama. Wouldn’t it be jammed also you asked? Not if you use the back road.

It took me less than 20 minutes to reach Segama. It was raining earlier on, before I finished work so it was drizzling when I parked my car. I bring along my jacket, just in case it’s raining again. There’s not much people tonight; probably because of the rain, I pick a good spot and ordered myself Bakso, with chicken feet please. Ahh… It really has been a while; I just ate and ate; even if Jennifer Love Hewitt or Jessica Alba was crossing the street, that won’t distract me from enjoying my Bakso. I paid RM4.50 for the Bakso and a bottle of drinking water, soon after I finished my Bakso.

What’s next? I remember Noy’s FB status, she was eating Durian yesterday, since there’s a few Durian stalls over there, so I went to check it out, and I found this.

It was sold at RM10 per stack, so I went to get two, then wander off to see what else there is to buy. I saw Taufu Fa, should I get it? Maybe next time. So I head back to my car and drive straight home. Where should I eat next? At the back of Pasar Kraftangan? Uuhh… the smell of fresh grilled fish, prawn and squid are drifting in my head already. BERLIUR SUDAH!!!

The Geek

A so called geek who resides at North Borneo, in a not so little city anymore, formerly known as Api-Api to the locals, Jesselton to the colonialist. This geek is a Civil Engineer by profession, who have lots of ideas popping up while traveling, who will write whatever popped up in his mind and hopping the reader would not be so judgmental toward his writings. This geek is also a computer & internet junkie who love outdoor, which is pretty much contradicting to each other doesn’t it? This geek is good at almost everything but a master of none (read about this somewhere). People may perceive him as a very quiet, describe as phlegmatic person, yet he is quite a chatterbox to those whom he is really close or comfortable with. This geek thinks anime chicks are way cooler than a real chick hence why he also likes to watch it (not the chicks, but the anime). Not to be mistaken as watching a cartoon, anime to this geek and to most of anime follower are animation that are created and produce by the Japanese.
